What can I tell you about myself? Well, for starters I've already kept up this blog longer than I thought I would! Kidding. Sort of.

Let's see....I live in the greatest city in the Midwest. I'm married. I have a three year old daughter that I'm currently home with full-time. In my previous life I held a series of jobs in the healthcare industry, most recently in the financial planning department of a hospital. I'm addicted to coffee -- not quite as badly as Lorelai Gilmore but close -- the Cooking Channel and HGTV. I love reading. I'm a Capricorn, political centrist and lapsed vegetarian.

Now that I've bored you sufficiently.....let the fun begin.

New Year New Me?

A friend of mine sent a new year's greeting that read (in part) as follows:

"Do something new, try something new, eat something new, meet someone new, go to a new place, read a new book, and don't forget to have fun!"

Sounds like a challenge if I ever heard one. Alright K -- Game.On.

I'm going to try this blogging thing on for size and see how long I can keep it up. Here goes nothing!
